Not sure if I was cheated in paying too much?
Hi,

I took my car in for a service and paid the invoice after the service. I looked at the invoice after I paid it and it seems that the costs were a bit excessive. Is there a way to see if the amount I paid is actually in line with the work done?

Work done on car (Ford Focus 2L 2002 model):
320 000 km service
Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement
Shocks Replacement

The total amount was: R 10 061.31
Parts: R 7 059.69
Labour: R 3 001.62 (58 Units = 58 hours?)

Do they put mark up on parts as well?

I would like to find out if Bosch have a standard way of setting up the invoices or is it down to each franchise to put mark up and labour done as they please? - And if there is a standard for the work done is it possible to test it to the actual work done on my car?

Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Pierre-Henri
