Took my car in to the Tokai branch. Mechanic said the timing belt jumped for some reason causing the engine to seize. Quoted R15000 to fix excl. engineering.

Informed mechanic that their Claremont branch serviced said belt 2 years ago.

Claremont branch said they have no record of my car ever being there. So I sent them their original quote for when the belt was serviced together with my emails accepting the quote.

Then they asked me for proof that I paid them. Luckily I had it in my emails so I sent it to them.

Gavin, the guy who originally serviced the belt and now the Claremont manager told me they'd investigate.

One week later with no investigation done and none of my phone calls returned, I collected my car and got the job done somewhere else for half the price.
