Disappointed, disgusted and frustrated at Bosch Car services in Boksburg and Gearbox SA in Alberton

June 2024, my car lost power on the road as I was driving. Today, 8 months later, my car has not returned. I have been speaking to Bosch people sometimes daily, weekly, and so on to this day and the car has a story to tell.

After numerous speculations of what the diagnostic is, no it's not that, it's this, payed about 17k to pay the balance of what insurance could cover up until I said no when they started wanting more money for what they thought the next problem was.

To cut a long story, then the car had to be taken to Gearbox SA in Alberton and that was also another drama. The car has been there for months and everyday, been fed a different story. After every touch, something else goes wrong.

I was on holiday in December and I went onto my vehicle tracking app and the car was in use over the festive season by the owner. Mileage gone up over the days. Every day was a new clocking which I had not been consulted on.

Upon return, I went to Alberton to see the actual car only to get the explanation from Robert that himself and Yugun from Bosch are in disagreement with costs and stuff which delays the productivity. I asked about the mileage and why my car was roaming in Rodepoort, Robert responded and said he took it to his friends house who had a software. What a load of nonsense that was. I walked around the car only to find new scratches on the car.

Eventually the car went back to Bosch Boksburg and the checked the car only to find new issues post return, scratches, missing covers and a whole lot of other stuff that were documented on email. The car went back to Alberton Gearbox SA again.

8 months later, I still don't have a car, paying a monthly installment, insurance for a vehicle that is not in my possession for the lack of accountability between these 2 services providers. No care of how this affects my day to day life as I struggle between Uber rides and further additional adhoc costs from this inconvenience.

Might I add that all these issues took place in less than a month after I had taken the car in for service at Bosch... I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by how this has played out. To this day, I don't have a car... I am paying for it monthly...
