Car misdiagnosed twice, issues still unresolved.

From my recent experience in the past weeks, I do not recommend taking your car to Bosch, especially the one in Ferndale, Randburg.

I brought in my car for the mechanics to diagnose and fix a rattling/clunking noise emanating from the engine bay. The mechanics diagnosed the noise and attributed it to worn-out shocks and stabiliser bars, and I was reassured that was the cause of the problem. After fetching my car, the clunking noise was still there, and worse, the wheel alignment was off. I took my car back to them, and I drove it with the mechanics so they could hear the rattling/clunking noise, and they were surprised they did not pick up the issue. This was shocking to me.

I left my car again, and they looked at it and diagnosed the problem as a worn-out engine mounting. I said go ahead and replace it. Days later, I fetched my car with the hope it was fixed. However, to my disappointment, the clunking noise was still there. Then they told me they greased every component in the suspension, and the noise would disappear after a few kilometres of driving. Clearly, it was complete nonsense because the noise was still there. So I have spent 13K for nothing because of the misdiagnosis and guesswork by the Bosch mechanics. What a shame for such a well-renowned company. I feel ****** and cheated.
