Bosch Service NIGHTMARE!

Bosch Service Centre in Bedfordview. Address: 45 Geldenhuis Road. Malvern East, Germiston, 1401. On 19th of December 2019, the I took my 2009 BMW 135i to Bosch for the purpose that my vehicle was misfiring. The man (Anzo) said he would run diagnostics on my vehicle and would relay the report to me for us to fix the issue. While my car was there, I gave them additional work to fit: New Brake Pads (supp**** by me), Tyre-rod ends (supp**** by me) and stabilizer bars (supp**** by me). Thursday afternoon around 16h00 I had phoned the garage to find out if my car was ready to be collected. They had told me that the vehicle was getting washed, I could go through to collect it. When I arrived, I paid for the work that was done, which was R 5 309.98 (see attached). The mechanic told me it was a faulty / loose wire causing the misfire. Once I had started the car it was still misfiring. I brought this to their attention that the vehicle was misfiring, and I told them I would return the vehicle the next morning as I had no form of transportation. When I arrived home, I had noticed the brake sensor on the left front was fitted wrong, the wire was over the brake caliper, once I opened the bonnet, the vacuum pipe was not in place it was laying over the air filter. ( Poor workmanship) Friday morning 20th December 2019, I took the vehicle back to Bosch to allow them to work on the car. I received a phone call from (Anzo) that the MAP Thermostat needed replacing as it was faulty. They emailed me the quote which was including labor, R 3 612.25 (see attached) I gave the go ahead to replace the part and I told him over the phone that I needed the vehicle before 12h00 in the afternoon as I was due to go on leave. When I arrived at the service garage, (Anzo) told me to get into the car and test drive it, I left the premises it was still misfiring. I returned to the garage, I complained again, they told me that the vehicle is misfiring because it was low on fuel. I instructed them to put petrol in the car they put in R300.00 when they returned the car was still misfiring. After the two men working at Bosch argued with me about the vehicle misfiring, they wanted me to return the vehicle Saturday Morning for them to work on it some more, I had then told them that it is unacceptable as they are doing apprenticeship on my vehicle and I am footing the bill. I was told to pay for the work done second time round which was, R 3 612.25(see attached). I had paid for the invoice with a car that was still not repaired. Saturday morning, I had several amount of phone calls from the Bosch Centre, I missed all the calls eventually returning them, they asked me to bring the vehicle back again. I refused due to the simple fact that they cannot give me an exact answer to the problem, and they cannot fix it. After being in contact with Bosch Head Office, I spoke to PhiIisile Lawu AA/SAF23, she forwarded through a complaint form, which I filled out (see attached). I was told that within 48hours I would get feedback. Unfortunately, no body contacted me, I had contacted Head Office again, where I spoke to Coleen, she had told me that Philisile was on leave and would return on the 8th of January 2020. Coleen told me over the phone that she would contact Philisile via mobile to get all information regarding my complaint and she would get back to me. Again, silence. I then phoned Bosch Head Office again, no response from anyone, I had then asked for Management I was told they are all on holiday. Eventually I got given a number to contact Bis, he is a field manager. He contacted me back and listened to my issue and complaint. He then informed me it is out of his area as he is based in KZN. Bis had told me that he would send Philisile an email. Again, no response. 8th of January 2020. I re – contacted the Bosch Head Office, the receptionist put me through to Philisiles office with no answer several times, then eventually I got a phone call back from Philisile and I told her that there was no response from anyone as she had told me it would happen within 48 hours. I was then advised to send a full letter of my complaint to her. I phoned the Bosch Service Garage in Bedfordview where I asked to speak to the director or owner or the shop, over the phone I was told that I was speaking to the owner in which I asked for his name and he told me it was Jaco. I tried to explain my issue to Jaco over the phone with my experience that I had with his garage, he then progressed to telling me I am shouting at him on the phone and I quote “Don’t think you are talking to your wife!” I had explained to Jaco I was not shouting, I speak loudly (I’m 62 years old?) then putting the phone down in my ear, I phoned back in which Jaco then told me not to phone the shop. I got driven to Bosch to try and speak to the owner in person to avoid a misunderstanding. Jaco started raising his voice at me in his office in which he then told me and I quote “I am a mechanic engineer”, Jaco threatened to assault me. I told Jaco that if he had to attack me, I would take legal action against him, this then resulted in Jaco attempting to spit at me. When I walked out of Jaco’s office I had spoken to one of his employees where he told me that he was aware of this entire situation and he was trying to tell Jaco what has transpired at the workshop while my vehicle was there for repair. Jaco progressed in screaming at me and he started approaching my colleague in an aggressive manner. Jaco walked away, the employee that was standing by then spoke to us with pure confusion as to why Jaco was being so aggressive and not listening to my complaint

After several phone calls back and forth with Bosch Head office, no feed back at all. Service to your customers suck
