Bosch Service Centre - I now do not trust them.

We took in a Bosch Pro Animal vacumn cleaner (purchased Aug 2022 - current price R3.8K) ) to the service centre at Kramerville, as it would start up with a normal vacumn then dramatically reduce in power (audible) after a few minutes with virtually no suction. . The motor never stopped completely however, contary to what was written on the 'Service Booking Form' . We subsequently received a quote to replace the motor fan and the filter for a total of 2,248.07, which we rejected as we could buy an alernative for less. When we got it home, I looked and found that the filter was indeed totally full of dirt. I am not the one who uses the vacumn cleaner routinely and was not aware of it's state when it was taken in. I susbseqently washed and dried the filter, put it back in the vacumn cleaner and started it on a 'max' attached to the pipe and hard surface head to duplicate normal use. When at 10 minutes it still had not reduced in suction, I turned it off. I tested it as a last resort before buying a new one and was glad I did. I can only conclude that the the vacumn cleaner just had a clogged filter and never requeired a new motor fan.
