Bosch Car Service Ga-Rankuwa poor service

So, last week (March 29) I took my vehicle to Bosch Car Service Ga-Rankuwa for a water pump/thermostat replacement.

On April 03, I went to collect the car. During the inspection, I realised that a (generic) green coolant was used on my car.

I then asked the technician if the coolant was a G13? He said no, it's a generic coolant - which they use on all cars.

I then told him that according to the vehicle specification, the vehicle ONLY uses a G3 or G12++ coolant.

He (the technician) said, VW sometimes do get things wrong.

Which is a fair point to make, and I agree with that point.

But I went to seek a second opinion on the issue.

I spoke to a sales representative from Holtz (green coolant manufacturer) and he told me that a WRONG coolant was put in my vehicle and that I should change it.

The gentleman (from Holtz) told me in no uncertain terms, that the coolant used was NOT intended for high performance cars, like the one I'm driving.

I called Bosch and tried to make them aware of my concern.

The lady from Bosch was very dismissive of my concern and ended up ending/dropping the call.

The lady kept on saying 'we use this coolant for ALL our cars'. Why use the same coolant for cars with different engine specifications?

In short, she was very disrespectful. She wouldn't have addressed her managers the way she addressed me.

I called her again, and she stopped taking my calls.

A coolant is just like engine oil. If you use a wrong coolant, it has the potential of causing serious damage to the car engine.

My advice, save yourself the headache and drama, don't take your car to Bosch.
