apparently women still don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to cars
I’ve recently taken my car in for a service to Bosch car service at Cape Gate.
I am highly disgusted in the service I received. I took my car in for a service on top of other things being faulty with the car. The exhaust was smoking and the oil light was in as well as the lightbulb light.
They gave me the car back with the car still smoking and the lightbulb faulty light still on.
I took it back as the oil light had come back on after only less than a month after the service and all they did was replenish the oil. When I enquired about the lightbulb, the technician said that it was the number plate lightbulbs and that it was not of importance.
I took my car for a second opinion somewhere else and had discovered that the valve stem seals need replacing. How do they not pick this up? Understandable not after the first time, but if I come back to you after less than a month of the cars service with the same problem surely you do your job and see what is wrong with the car.
I sent an email to the manger, Cyril Langley, and I cc’d my partner in the email.
I received such a snotty and rude email back. He was belittling me in the email, but when my partner rep**** he was highly professional. So clearly the stigma of “women don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to cars” still floats around with technicians and car service companies. Disgusting!!! I will never take my car there again!
