I took my car to Bosch service piet Retief to be diagnosed because it had problem when starting, they discovered the problem of which I was Quoted R4500 for the replacement of an alternator. They told me that I must come to collect the car on Thursday only to get a call from them that when they were removing the old alternator they broke the holder of the alternator, so they gave me two option to replace the whole engine or to take the car to vryheid in order for them to weld the holder of the alternator. I told them that they must get someone from piet retief to weld that holder since they quoted me another R3000 before labour just to transport the car to vryheid. On Monday I was told that they can't fix the car I had to pay them R3450 for the alternator and v belt and I was told that for them to tower the car will be R400 for a distance of 1,5km the car it can't start, i decided to hire someone who will tower the car at the cheaper rate but when i got there the car was starting. So I had to pay that person even though I drove it to another mechanic. I decided to take the car to another mechanic to weld the holder of the alternator of which it was done with 30 minutes. Their charged me more money as if they fixed the car, (R3450) whereas I paid less than R1000 at the mechanic, I was without my car for 5 days, all they want its just to rip us off. I would recommend anyone to take their cars to Bosch service piet Retief it's bad
