Suddenly extra documents over and above bank state

I app**** for a loan. Completed the application as any other time submitted the documents. Suddenly they require proof of my additional income (spouses salary). <br> <br> When questioning this I get told this is a separate application not joint. The agentagent is not interested I listening to the fact that I did it the same as every other time. <br> <br> Why is it suddenly an issue? I really am disappointed in the service or lack thereof lately.
