Unsatisfied with Purchase // Legacy Auto Polokwane

To whom it may concern,

I purchased a 2019 BMW 330i G20 from Legacy Polokwane (Angelique Scott). Please find attached OTP.

On Monday, 6 January 2020, I enquired on this vehicle on Auto Trader’s website. I received a call from Angelique later that day. She advised me that this vehicle was still available, so I proceeded by giving her the details of my trade-in etc. She then spoke to the F&I (Paul Kruger) and I sent him all the documentation needed to proceed with the purchase of this vehicle.

Firstly, the vehicle was advertised with 1000km on. After I had accepted the offer and instalment, Angelique contacted me to say that this vehicle does not have 1000km on but an extra 5800km which comes to a total of 6800km on the clock. I was upset and wanted to cancel the purchase of this vehicle. After I had spoken to Angelique and expressed my utter disappointment in this matter, a lady called Refilwe Nyembe gave me a call saying they would add another 10 000km to my motorplan with BMW. I politely declined as I do not intend to drive this vehicle until it reaches said mileage. She was rude and said that this was in fact their final offer. Approximetely 10 minutes later my business partner gave Refilwe a call and they had an argument about the fact that Legacy Auto wants to sell an advertised vehicle for the same price even though the mileage has gone up. She then agreed they will drop the purchase price with R20 000.00. We accepted this offer and continues with the purchase and signing of the Wesbank agreement.

I have since taken delivery of my vehicle on Saturday, 11 January 2019. Angelique Scott did an amazing job with the delivery. I have never seen someone go to such lengths to make a customer feel extremely special.

On the said advert on Auto Trader this vehicle was advertised with the 360’ Reverse Cameras and BMW Live ****pit Professional. But the car I received on delivery does not have these features. I have gone back to the original advert and it had been changed ever since. Mileage has been changed as well as the price. This was the original advert I had sent out to my business partner 2 weeks prior. My concern is that I bought an overpriced vehicle plus the fact that this was complete false advertising on Legacy Auto’s part. I am really unsatisfied. Angelique has been trying to help me sort out this issue with no luck. I spoke to Refilwe this morning and she stated I should’ve checked my OTP before signing the agreement. This is absolutely *******. I bought a car from the advert with certain specifications and I feel I was totally **********.

I will be cancelling my agreement with Wesbank in 48 hours should I not get a response from BMW South Africa. I would like this to be sorted out or I am not interested in driving this vehicle. I will also post on every social media platform and express my complete disappointment in the BMW brand. I am a loyal BMW customer and feel I deserve an explanation regarding the above.

I await your urgent response.

Thank you.
