Traffic Fine Nightmare with BMW
Traded in my car at BMW Joburg Auto in December 2019. The car got traffic fines in January and March 2020. I've been sending emails and calling Joburg Auto and BMW South Africa since March 2020. To this day the matter is still not being resolved.
Joburg City Auto sent me from pillar to post. First by asking for my proof of address and Bank account details so they can deposit the money into my account so I can pay, then turned around and said they'll pay. then came back and said I must pay for the tickets and they will reimburse me. I said that's not fair since they aren't mine they should pay them, and why don't they just pay them. I was then told by a gentleman called Sean that he will notify finance that "the client refused to pay and they must start process of sorting it out". How did I refuse to pay? Are they my tickets? Did I refuse to pay my monthly installment? No that's not the case. They sent from pillar to post with a issue that wasn't my fault but the incompetence and lack of professionalism from them. He then made some excuse that they are under staffed. But they were not under staffed when I traded in the car. Why weren't the proper and correct processes followed?
It's end October and the matter is still not resolved, it was handed over the BMW South Africa and am being told it is sitting the public prosecutor. Why did this simple matter ended up having to be so complicated and with the public prosecutor?
I have NEVER received such terrible service in all my years being a BMW loyal customer. Maybe with my next upgrade I must just move to Mercedes Benz. Maybe I will get much better service from them!!
