The new configurator...

For the past 20 years I have been part of the BMW family. I went to the M festival and did the Advanced Driving Experience and on top of all of that I have been driving Bimmers since 1999.

I love the company and the vehicles that it makes. Even to the greatest pessimist, there's little one can find faulty. For a long while now BMW SA has had a configurator on their website which worked beautifully. It gave simpletons such as myself a chance to build up my dream Bimmer, my idea of Sheer Driving Pleasure. The configurator really empowered the petrol heads out there to play with different engine types, luxury vs. M lines and fiddle with the interior.

It sparked excitement within me when I saw that BMW SA updated the configurator to a new design... This excitement was short lived. The ergonomics of the configurator is poor, there's little to no flow from one page to another. I did not have the pleasure of finishing a build on the new configurator because, inevitably, halfway through the build I get slammed with an Error message. There's also limitations to the cars you can configure in terms of the model itself, previously I could configure a M760 Li, now I can't. Furthermore the configurator is slow and, in my little opinion, inferior to the previous version and reflects negatively on BMW SA group.

Come on guys, I'm rooting for you. In a company that is talented such as BMW you can't tell me no one has realised that the new website is *******?
