Terrible Customer Care and Poor workmanship

Good day

It’s me again!!! My car was towed and repaired at Autobahn BMW Isando on Monday 6th June 2016. The actual problem was the VVT sensor motor and Eccentric motor that was found to be the problem. I was given a quote of R33221 to repair the vehicle which I disputed due to the same problem that the car had previously, after consultation with the dealership and customer care; BMW agreed to pay 50% parts only for the contribution (Goodwill) of the repair. I was not happy about this but I payed the difference.

I took the vehicle on Friday 10th June 2016, drove the car the whole weekend and everything was ok. On Monday 12 June 2016 I drove the car to Limpopo and the car lost power (Same problems as before) on my way just before Polokwane from Johannesburg. I then called Autobahn BMW Isando about my predicament and I was not assisted at all, this is the dealership that just repaired my car 72hrs ago with the same problem and I was guaranteed 2 years of warranty of the repair. I then called BMW on call to get some assistance and was advised that I need to arrange towing of the vehicle at my own cost since the car had just gone out of motor plan. I tried to explain the history behind this vehicle and was not assisted at all. I then arranged towing to Autohause BMW Polokwane at my own cost.

I called Autohause BMW in Polokwane the following day to get and update and was told to pay R1000-00 diagnostic fee, I payed it with no hassles. I waited for their update till Friday when I CALLED and was only told that the engine does not move and Autobahn BMW has arranged that the car be towed back to their dealership back to Joburg, this is after when I have made several calls to them. The car was eventually towed to Autobahn BMW Isando on Monday 20th June 2016. I was given a call in the morning the following day by the lady called Bev who know the history about this vehicle, She told me that they busy with the diagnostics and will let me know later on Tuesday about the progress.

I then called the dealership (Wednesday 22nd June 2016 – 16H25) because no update was forthcoming, spoke to the service manager (Edward Nel) who then told me that one of the consultants was supposed to call me earlier regarding the update – poor service, he said to me that the engine is not turning and I now have to pay for stripping of the engine – This is shocking news to me, the car (BMW) has just been repaired at the dealership and I payed R15000-00 and it broke down within 72hrs with the same problem and now I’m told to pay for diagnostics and will also be liable for the other repairs – we can’t keep on milking this *** like this!

This car has been to the dealership more than it has been on the road, I’ve never enjoyed this Sheer driving pleasure!!! Please check the service history. This is my 3rd E90 and I never had any issues with my previous cars. All these problems are engine related and have been highlighting them to the dealership that I bought the car from – Autoglen and where I’ve been servicing my car Autobanh Isando, no permanent fix was done on the car my suspicion has led me to believe that this is a parts problem or workmanship problem. I feel cheated on and betrayed by the brand that I was loyal to, this is way more than BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. That's how BMW service dept works, I'm guttely disappointed with the brand that I doubt if I will buy another BMW car or give positive feedback about the brand to anyone. I have just been having problems after problems with this car , and my first and second BMW’s were the best not even a single problem for the 5 years. I’m now stuck with no car than I’m paying instalments for, I did not expect this from BMW period….

Please can someone from BMW call me to tell me what's happening , as am not enjoying this investment at all!!!
