Shoddy workmanship and customer service from BMW SA

The show put on for good service turned sour very quickly. First they offered me a car they knew was already sold, very unprofessional! Still I chose another vehicle on the floor, and purchased it after the salesman Wayne Williams and Sales Manager confirmed that no recon was done on the car. 2 days later when I took the car to a car wash it was picked up that the car had been re-sprayed in various areas (and not to proper standard). I took it to an approved BMW panel beater and they pointed out various flaws and bad workmanship on the car. Auto Alpina denied knowing anything about this and blamed this on BMW South Africa, saying this was cosmetic work done by them. I called various other BMW dealerships and was told that all cars they buy from BMW SA comes with paperwork detailing what was done to the cars, however strangely enough Auto Alpina must be the only ones that don't get this, as they still denied knowledge of the work. On cancelling the deal the Sales Manager and Salesman become very bitter and rude, the DP himself did not bother to call back even though I requested so many times. They asked us to bring the car back, which I did as I don't believe that they knew nothing about this and I paid full retail for the vehicle. The workmanship would have been a huge disadvantage to me when trading in the vehicle later. The Salesman kept going on about how he went over and beyond for us - You are a salesman....that is your job! So they should stop acting like they were doing us favours - WE PAID RETAIL! I complained to BMW South Africa, who to date have also not bothered to call me back on the matter - Service is disgusting, considering we are spending on 100s of 1000s on these vehicles and we are a family of BMW's- this exp will be communicated by myself. BMW SA panel beater workmanship is slipping as the cosmetic work done was terrible on the vehicle and noticable on inspection, there was even over-spray on the doors and windscreen!!!! Auto Alpina is all about the deal not the customers best interest! Sweet everything to get you to buy, Once the deal is cancelled you will see the true colours! You go approved dealers to avoid being exploited, they honestly think we are stupid.... People should be weary and be careful, do not be so trusting just because it is a BMW dealership. Blame Game between the dealership and BMW SA themselves shouldn't be the clients problem. I do not recommend them!!!
