Shocking customer service
My vehicle, a BMW 120d (2008), engine type N47 was recalled due to a factory fault (timing chain) and was booked in on Wednesday, 25 November 2015. The motor vehicle was in a working and running condition at the time of delivery. Two weeks later, my vehicle is still in BMW's workshop. The timing chain apparently has been replaced, but the vehicle is now jerking and failing their road test as it seems according to BMW, the swirl valves from the intake manifold may have broken off and are in the engine. BMW want to charge me R26 000.00 to fix the problem. There was no problem prior to me sending the car in. I have logged a call with BMW SA and also no help from them. I haven't had a car for two weeks - no loan vehicle offered unless i accept the ******ionate quote. I have sent emails and letters to BMW Auric Auto claremont and the response to date is that its been escalated to management. there has been no other contact or feedback.
All i want is my vehicle returned to me as it was delivered and in a working condition.
I am shocked at the nowhere level of service and the attempt of milking money for a factory default repair that should cost zero.
