NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE BMW / TIM ABBOT

I have experienced endless problems with my BMW F20 116i sports hatch, notably a replaced fuel pump, replaced throttle and most recently timing chain and vanos unit. BMW Sandton had the vehicle to 2 weeks. No offer of a courtesy vehicle and when they did finally endeavour to arrange (at my request) were unable to get their service provider into gear. Out of frustration I addressed an email to Tim Abbot CEO of BMW SA - the representative of the BMW brand in SA, wherein I detailed my concern that my vehicle may well be defective (manufacture) and expressed my dissatisfaction with the ZERO CUSTOMER CARE policy at BMW Sandton. (I had addressed similar complaints to BMW Sandton to no avail). I never heard from Abbot. Instead i received a short email from a customer care individual "tasked" to deal with me - who advised i could phone him anytime. Actually the purpose of customer care is that YOU BMW call me, the customer. Needless to say I heard nothing further until I called the aforesaid representative. Again i expressed my anger towards BMW the brand as a whole, advised him i would never buy BMW again, even threatened the usual - the press, influence etc.... to no avail. He simply said they "could" send a BMW technician to inspect the vehicle. I advised him that what he ought to have done from the word go was to pick up the phone, phone me and tell me that what BMW WILL DO ... is to send a technician. My many other upsets with BMW and lack of service and customer care went unattended and remain unattended. Well don Tim Abbott for the tremendous customer care offered by BMW - a world wide brand - hello Mecerdes... and good by BMW me thinks.
