Writing this report, irrespective of whether this crowd responds or not.
Recently sedan picked up problem.
I booked a diagnostics test with Helderview BMW.
Because another dealer could help me earlier, I went there.
Result of test: Faulty Air Mass Censor
But I bought part through Helderview.
Yesterday new part fitted. Problem exists.
They demand payment on the spot.
They tell me they did not do the diagnostics test and I only requested to have new part fitted.
BUT WHEN I ASKED THEM A FEW DAYS EARLIER TO FIT THE PART THEY WERE DEAD QUIET ABOUT WHO DID THE DIAGNOSTICS TEST. DOES IT MATTER THAT ANOTHER DEALER, who could help me quicker, DID THE DIAGNOSTICS TEST? WHY DID Helderview BMW NOT ASK TO DO THEIR OWN DIAGNOSTICS TEST TO CONFIRM the problem?
They tel me they cannot try and resolve problem immediately. They ask me to make another appointment in two weeks time. Reasons range from workshop manager going on leave and a shortage of technicians.
Upon leaving service lady asks me if I am going to dealer who did diagnostics test.
This is a clear indication that they want to pass the buck AND NOT CONFIDENT OF RESOLVING PROBLEM.
Stay away from this crowd. \Easy\" customer chasers.
