i will never buy a BMW ever again, after only having driven BMW's all my life!

I cannot begin to express my disappointment in BMW, a brand I have driven and loved all my life.

Ever since purchasing a vehicle from BMW Leohaese Centurion, I have had endless issues since the day of delivery and the most despicable service from leohaese.

I've written to BMW South Africa repeatedly since day one, about the service I received at leohaese and I received no assistance from BMW South Africa.

I've taken the car to Bmw for so many faults and I haven’t even had the car for 3 months yet.

The roof was leaking, and club motors took 2 weeks to repair my vehicle. After taking the vehicle from them I noticed a wet spot inside the instrument cluster and called them to inform them but assumed it was minor and would check it the next time I took the car back once outstanding parts had arrived. To my astonishment the next day I noticed two bolts missing from the rear passenger wheel.

They changed the rear brake pads and put half the bolts back onto the wheel, the technician drove my car, and my car was washed yet nobody seemed to notice half the bolts missing, endangering my life and the lives of my loved ones that travel with me.

I had to call BMW on call to come and take a bolt out from another wheel and put it onto the rear passenger wheel so I could drive it back to club motors.

I am yet to receive an apology from the service manager or BMW South Africa despite my emails and pictures of all my claims.

5 days ago it rained in Johannesburg and I felt water dropping onto me. The roof was not repaired properly, in fact it was worse than before and the roof lining was soaking wet and starting to hang lower. I opened the roof slightly to see what was going on and noticed one ***** missing from roof on the passenger side as well as both *****s missing from the roof on the driver’s side of the roof. I could not believe my eyes.

After giving me a car with nuts missing in the rear wheel, they gave me a roof that was leaking way worse than before with three *****s missing. Vincent from BMW on call will confirm seeing all these pictures on my phone.

I also noticed that the rubbers on the passenger door were coming off and I saw that it was stuck with 2 way tape, however when I returned the vehicle the next day after I took delivery, the sales manager of leo haese, Des, told me he had replaced those rubbers along with all the other faults once I took delivery again as the car was in putrid condition on delivery.

The car has no comments but it’s clear that the doors and bumper has been sprayed. My sales consultant Brett Coleman is a **** and a misleader. He pressured me into signing for a vehicle I had not seen. When I saw it I was shocked at how he could deliver such a filthy, damaged car to me.

That’s why I went back the next day and Des (Sales Manager) took the car back, and sorted most of the things out… or so I thought... he ****… they used two way tape but told me they replaced the rubbers.

Last weekend, shortly after I noticed the rubbers falling off, the two way tape, the roof lining starting to fall down, and the roof still leaking ( worse than before) even after being repaired…. I heard a ringing sound coming from the driver’s side of the car and a random knocking sound which I dismissed as my imagination or me accidentally bumping my hand against something in the car.

About 10 minutes later I started to smell something burning and assumed that it was the air conditioner that just had a funny smell which was probably coming from the fan or something, so I switched the air con off and opened all my windows to get fresh air and the smell out of the car, but I could still smell the burning and it was getting worse.

I was so afraid that I called BMW on call and told them what was happening and I told them that it was coming from the vent on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

BMW on call instructed me to stop at garage and check the tyres, which I did.

However, all tyres were fine, and so was the pressure in each tyre.

I called BMW Back and told them that it isn’t the tyre and they despatched a technician to me.

Whilst waiting for the technician, I tried to call my mum on the Bluetooth of the car and whilst talking to her the speakers started popping and screeching and ringing loudly and the burning smell got so bad that I thought the car was going to explode.

I switched off all electronics in the car such as navigation display and muted speakers and switched off my cell phone as I was terrified. Even with everything off the speakers were making noise, I was horrified. I jumped out of the car and stood as far from the car as possible. Only then did I switch my phone on as I was scared to create any interference that may trigger an explosion.

When a technician arrived (Vincent from Bmw On Call), I showed him pictures of the wet roof lining, drooping roof lining, and water inside the car as proof of the leak, I also showed him the picture of water droplet inside instrument cluster and how I received the car with the bolts missing and he was astonished himself. I also showed him how leo haese deceived me and used two way tape to secure rubbers on doors instead of replacing the rubbers like they said they had done.

He sat in the car and witnessed the loud noises and screeching from the speakers and the horrifyingly intense burning smell which was so bad you could smell it from outside the car. He immediately requested the vehicle be towed and told me that the vehicle had a major electrical fault most probably due to water leaking into the vehicle after another unsuccessful repair/service at club motors.

All these faults were present on day of delivery and I wrote to Bmw South Africa about it as I was pressured into buying a car without seeing it, or pictures of it until I signed.

I proceeded as I had faith in Bmw as I never had a problem with all my previous cars that were purchased from auto Bavaria and auto bahn, and being a BMW pre owned vehicle I assumed the vehicle would be in impeccable condition.

I cannot believe I was sold such an unworthy vehicle of the BMW name I have always owned and loved.

I spend so much money on this car that I expect to get a reliable vehicle. I am currently paying for something that spends a third of the time that I have owned it, being repaired at BMW.

Vincent informed me that should anyone require any confirmation of my claims that I may mention his name and he will confirm what I had showed him and what he witnessed.

I do not under any circumstances ever want to drive that car ever again. I will not take it back and put my life in danger and drive with such fear.

It is clear that no matter how many times a repair is attempted on this vehicle, it will never be the same, and I fear for my life after my experiences.

I will never ever feel safe in that car ever again.

That car should be written off. I do not want it and BMW needs to arrange that my car be replaced with another car or take the car back so I can rather go buy another make of vehicle.

5 days later and the only person I received any assistance or feedback from was the consultant that assisted me at club motors.

BMW South Africa also hasn’t provided any feedback since my car was towed, nor have I received any apology.

I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed and I have lost faith in the one brand of vehicle I have loved since I was a little girl.

I cannot believe the quality of the vehicle I was provided with.
