Handbrake fault ignored

<p>In February 2016 the electronic park brake on my X5 failed. BMW assist cut the cable along with part of my vehicle to get me going. At a quote of over R15000 to replace we managed to find a second hand part as we were told this should never happen to the brake on the BMW. </p> <p>Now 17 months later we have the same thing happen only to find out that this is a very common problem on the BMW. </p> <p> </p> <p>HOW does BMW justify charging such a ludicrous amount of money on a part that they CLEARLY have a fault with. </p> <p> </p> <p>I am am beyond disgusted that you are prepared to rip people off with this part. </p> <p> </p> <p>I would love an explaination. </p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you </p>
