Car damaged at BMW and BMW SA takes no responsibility and refusing to have a face to face meeting after multiple requests since May 2020
I would like to share a horror story that BMW SA has put me through over the past 6 months. It started at the BMW Approved Repair centre in Wynberg where my car went in for a repair to one rim and came out with all 4 tyres and rims being damaged. After 5 visits to the repair centre, I escalated my query to BMW South Africa in late September. Over the past few months, they have made me go back and forth more than 10 times, all BMW SA customer service management refused a face to face meeting, they have done nothing to investigate what actually took place at the repair centre and now after all this time refuse to take any responsibility. As a BMW driver for more 10 years, I have seen the true face of the brand...we spend thousands of rands to proudly drive a BMW and think our cars will be taken care of when it is in their care and that they will live up to their values and right the wrongs done to their customer but I am saddened and disappointed that I haven't even been afforded the opportunity to sit down and explain my story. My query was loadged and it took more than 2 weeks for a customer service representative to contact me. After two months, I escalated it to the Head of Customer Service, Salesh Singh, who said he cant meet with me because its the "Holiday rush", keeping in mind im requesting a meeting since October. The Head of Technical Sales, Saschin Chatargoon told me "i should be glad he is doing me a favour" when he inspected my car. The service has been atrocious and there is no one that is willing to actually take accountability for the damage done to my car while in the care of BMW. All I wanted was a meeting to understand what took place with my car when it was at the approved service centre and find a win-win solution yet to date, no one has made an effort to sit down and speak to me and their Head of Customer Services is too busy with his holidays to actually do his job! I have met in an accident with this car and been hijacked with this car but I still kept it for the love of the brand. After this ********** experience with BMW (where my hijackers showed me more courteous than the BMW SA customer service department) I will move to another brand and I advise you to not invest in BMW. I have done research and realized that there are many other female BMW drivers who have had the same horrific experience.
