BMW Workshop Centurion
A few months ago I had a water leak on my BMW 530d and I had to top up the water every morning before I could drive. I couldn't see anywhere where the water was leaking. The car was then taken to BMW's workshop in Centurion.
They called me later and confirmed that a water pipe needs to be replaced but that they have to import it from Germany and it will cost me around R15000 plus labour. I refused and said that I would take care of it myself and get back to them. About 2 hours later I received another call from BMW and I was told that they could only get one water pipe locally and I agreed that they could proceed with repairs. Apparently they had to wait for the parts and my car was with them for 3 days to replace the water pipe. When I was finally able to collect my car, it cost me R15000 anyway but they assured me that my car is fine and there are no more leaks.
The next morning I noticed that my car was still losing water and I had to top up again. Out of desperation I contacted Bosch Services to see if they could locate the fault. Bosch confirmed that the oil filter housing and radiator filter housing needed to be replaced and they gave me a quote of just over R7000. I agreed and after 3 days got my car back because it was a big job to replace these filters. Finally my car was fixed and no more water leaks. Many thanks to Bosch in Centurion for their excellent service and I can really recommend them for service or repairs.
All my trust in BMW is gone and I will never take my car to them again for service or repairs. It was a huge disappointment.
