<p> </p> <p>Where to start????</p> <p> </p> <p>My first Bmw was the E46 320i Auto fantastic vehicle except for the oil leak on the valve cover seal. I thought yeaa maybe because of the years in service it most probably cracked or some other reason. Had to spend quite an amount on getting it fixed but never less a wonderful car. February i decided to upgrade and bought the 320i E90. Whilst doing shopping for a 320 i came across not less than 2 other E90's with the same problem. Oil leaks on the valve cover seal....Coincidence i thought...NOOOOO BMW can't have oil leaks like this i made myself believe.</p> <p> </p> <p>Well after searching for a month i eventually bought a ********** model with low km's and WOW what a car. Deep was my disappointment just to drive about 3000km and oil smoke billowing out from under the hood.</p> <p> </p> <p>To my annoyance i saw oil dripping from the valve cover seal at the back left corner onto the exhaust.</p> <p> </p> <p>Today i googled the replacement of the seal and to my utter surprise i saw that on internet it is widely mentioned as a "COMMON" problem on BMW.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have had 4x fords , 2 x vw's ,1 x toyota , 1x Landrover and a Mahindra and none of them had oil leaks like this and these vehicles was much older and uhhhhh less proffesional than BMW.Even my Mahindra doesnt have any oil leaks and have more than 210 000 km on the clock. My Bmw is now only on 148000km and is leaking oil!!</p> <p> </p> <p>HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??</p> <p> </p> <p>Please advise.</p> <p> </p>
