BMW SOUHT AFRICA PATHETIC

BMW SOUHT AFRICA PATHETIC

Please please please all you guys out their driving BMW’s don’t be fooled by a vehicle

with a full service history at BMW it means absolutely nothing if it is out of motor plan. BMW says

as long as the car is in motor plan they will do whatever the maintenance schedule requires but

when it is out of motor plan although the book still gets stamped at a BMW agent they will

only do what the customer asks. So what we are saying to each other is that if the vehicle requires

an oil filter and oil change and fuel filter change and the owner of the vehicle says nooooo only

change the oil leave the old oil filter and the diesel filter on the vehicle BMW will do that but will

also stamp the book although everything as per maintenance schedule was not done. This resulted

in my X3 running with the same air filter for 153 000 km yes you have read it correctly 153 000km

with the same air filter. Remember it is out of motor plan but has a full service history at BMW

agents. BMW South Africa only says that they have done their part while the vehicle was under

motor plan. Because of the dirty air filter I had to service the vehicle again although it was serviced

less than 4000 km back. BMW South Africa says you should have had a look at the invoices although

the vehicle has a full service history at BMW agents with a stamped service book. Please guys make

100% sure when buying a BMW out of motor plan that everything according to the maintenance

schedule has been done because BMW will stamp the book even if the maintenance schedule wasn’t

followed. My question after all this is: Does a service history at BMW really means anything?
