BMW Polokwane

Pathetic service from BMW Polokwane. My mini Cooper needed a clutch replacement. BMW also suggested to do a Normal service on the vehicle since the service was almost due.

I paid more than R30K for what is stated above. It took BMW the full of month of June 2021 to work on my car. I displayed my dissatisfaction as I hadn't anticipate BMW would spent so much time fitting a a clutch and doing a normal service.

On 2 June 2021 I went to collect my car after I received a call from BMW informing me that my car is ready for collection.

On my arrival I met up with the service advisor MARISKA who handed over the car keys to me.

As I drove out of the dealer , in less than a kilometre a drivetrain and engine warning sign popped up on the screen. Whilst waiting at the robot , the vehicle started shaking (misfiring).

I immediately drove back to the dealer highly frustrated and disappointed. Explained the problem and the car was taken back to the workshop.

Within 5min the service provider brought back the car to me and informed me that the vehicle is now sorted out. They've placed the vehicle on the machine , they simply needed to reset faulty. According to the service provider the spark plugs are almost worn out therefore on my next service they need to be replaced. However he assured me the vehicle is now in drivable condition. The problem is sorted .

I drove out of the dealer in less than 500 meters same problem started again. I drove back and started complaining.

Why did BMW call and say the vehicle is ready when it's not?

The reason I chose to take my car to BMW Polokwane I needed a peace of mind and the best service. I could have easily taken my car to a bush mechanic who could have charged me far less .. Why did BMW fail to pick up this? What exactly did they do on vehicle if at all they did work on vehicle? BMW had my vehicle the full month of June 2021, had sufficient time to work in vehicle. Listening to the service advisors talking it's evident they do not have a clue about what BMW did on my car

I never had an engine warning light popping up on the screen until BMW Polokwane worked on my car .

I made it very clear to them I'm not prepared to wait for another month without a car . I requested a courtesy car since they are responsible for the mess on my car which they refused . No empathy, no customer service.

My no ***

STAY AWAY FROM BMW Polokwane
