BMW Pathetic motorplan
I recently purchased a BMW still under motor plan and vehicle had a few concerns. Items were addressed after 2 or 3 visits to the dealer.
1 Item remains and I cannot understand why BMW could not replace my worn brake disks 3 times when I had lodged a complaint.
Brake disc clearly states Minimum Thickness = 22.4mm on the disc itself. BMW Durban South measured my disks and have confirmed they currently measure 21.98mm as per the report.
How can OEM equipment specs be overridden by BMW to save costs. Clearly BMW does not value their customers and expects them to push wearable items beyond their service life putting customers safety at High Risk and out of pocket.
I am frustrated that now my Motor plan has expired and cost is now put onto the customer when it should have been covered under warranty.
Motor plan extensions are **************** if it cannot be utilized when parts are worn out.
I currently also own a Toyota Fortuner and it comes with a 9Year /90 000km service plan. In theory Motor companies have already charged the customer for all the services / consumables upto the mileage indicated when purchasing a vehicle which is fair.
Why must there be a restriction on time when services are only required once per year for low mileage vehicles.
BMW should honor motor plans for 10year / 100 000km as customers have already paid for these upfront when purchasing a vehicle. Items unclaimed = Profits for motor companies.
Pathetic after sales service from BMW.
