BMW On-call is garbage.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Cederberg when one of my BMW front RunFlats had burst on a gravel road (Sharp rocks) and the other was slightly damaged (but still drivable). I had phoned BMW On-Call and was told they could not source tyres for my car and they would have to tow the car. I was absolutely livid at this response, as I was sold this car with 4 runflats and no spare and was assured that BMW will come and replace the tyre if one is damaged.... Unfortunately, we could not get a replacement tyre in Citrusdal, but I sourced the tyres myself within a half an hour of phoning, Tyger Wheel and Tyre in Durbanville had 4 ready and available for me (which tells me BMW didnt even bother looking around). We were lucky enough that our hosts gave us a lift from Ciitrusdal to Durbanville and back so that I could buy the tyre and fit it on in Citrusdal - all without the help of BMW.

A note for anyone out there thinking of buying a BMW... ALL their cars come with 4 runflat tyres and no spare - do not think for a second that BMW will come and deliver a tyre, because this is not guaranteed. You will have to fend for yourself if you're on holiday. I bought BMW for this very reason, peace of mind and service... I received none.
