BMW Insurance on Stone Chips

1. Bought an M3 which BMW specifically identified as special as it had a special individual paint - Moonstone Metallic.<br> <br> 2. BMW also immediately sold me a STONE CHIP Policy (stone chips fixed as long as < R3000.00)<br> <br> 3. Investigated and people who had this policy claimed it did work (on their ordinary paint).<br> <br> 4. Took the policy and so it happens I picked up a chip of 0.5cm - claimed for it.<br> <br> 5. Claim rejected due to cost being > R3000.00<br> <br> 6. FIFTEEN BMW APPROVED repair centres stated that any chip on my car would be more than R3000.00 due to the special paint.<br> <br> 7. BMW refused to listen.<br> <br> 8. Did my Research and other countries specifically do not sell this policy to cars with my paint!<br> <br> 9. BMW refused to listen.<br> <br> 10. I said fine, just resolve this claim as you sold me the policy and it was your right to know I could never use it?<br> <br> 11. BMW refused to listen.<br> <br> 12. They are still selling this policy to Individual Painted new BMW owners, knowing that those owners can never claim.<br> <br> 13. They have already sold this policy to existing users, & will decline it when they claim.<br> <br> 14. Be wary, if you have such a policy - enquire now.<br> <br> 15. I had to pay for the repairs
