BMW - Cannot get my car traded in as a result of an accident

I purchased a new BMW 1-series in 2015. I ad an accident when the vehicle was only a few months old. The quote to have the car fixed came to R195,786.59. It was then fixed by my insurance at the SMG Repair Center. I have been trying for over a year to trade this car in on a new BMW but the dealerships doesn't even have the decency to come back to me and I have to keep on phoning them back to find out why no-one is coming back to me. I keep on getting the same answer.... :reason for this is that my car was involved in an accident and that the repair value was too high, so they will not give me book value for my car. This is unacceptable as this shows that they do not have confidence in your own repair center!! I cannot get my car traded in and I do not have the money to pay in the shortfall. I feel it is very unfair that I am being penalized for this!!! The car should then have been written off if they do not have faith in their repair center??!! I am stuck with a car that I cannot sell.
