BMW - A bunch of rogues!!!

I phoned BMW Dealership in the Glen in JHB on the 03/12/2019 for a quotation on an oil change and brake fluid change. They gave me a quotation of R2800 for the service. I booked the service for the following day, 04/12/2019. On the morning of the 04/12/2019, I sent my daughter to drop off my car at BMW, The Glen. My daughter phoned me from the dealership and told me the guy told her that they will phone me if anything else needs to be done, so i must keep my phone on. At 12:26, Francois, called me and told me the car is in for the service and he will call me when it's ready. He called me later on to notify me the car is ready to be picked up. I arranged for my wife to collect the car and on her arrival, Francois gave her invoice of R6900+. She was surprised, so she called me to confirm if this was correct. I told her no, 'cause nobody informed me there were other work on the car that they were carrying out. She forwarded me the invoice which showed work done on the car without my authorisation or approval. I spoke to Franscois about this and asked him who authorised this work. He told me that my daughter (who is 18yrs signed for it when she dropped off the car). I told him that she merely did me a favour to drop of the car and surely you should have phoned me (the owner) to confirm any additional work that needs to be carried out. He phoned me back with a discount of R1000. I told him i'm not satisfied because you cannot do your own thing and then expect me to pay for something i was not aware of. To cut a long story short, they did not want to release my car if i did not pay them R5800+. My wife had to pickup my daughter so i was forced to pay this amount so the car could be released to her.

I owed alot of BMW's but this experience has changed my mind. Will never buy one again and will definately tell everyone about this experience.
