BAD service, Bad Customer Experience, Inconvenienced Customer
I first purchased my vehicle in 2014. i have been servicing it at the Randburg Club motors branch since then. No issues. I told that that my car had been sprayed after minor scratches at an approved dealer and they captured it on their system-and that is how i've been able to service my car all along. Club motors closed down and i since had to find another dealer When i bought the car in question in 2014. I incurred minor scratches, fine dents, and because it was a brand new car, wanted these ironed out. I since took it to a panelbeater who since sprayed it. This was since reported to BMW Club Motors in Randburg, and if one has a look at my service history, it is clearly noted that i've been servicing it there since. They have/had full knowledge of the scratches and i was quite disappointed with the paintwork, but didn't make much of them, as they were only scratches.
This year, 3 years on, Randburg club motors shutdown, and so i seeked a new dealership to now service my car from. I took it to the Glen in the south of Johannesburg, where i had the worst customer service ever-this need to be sorted out please. They mentioned that there was different paintwork, to which i confirmed that BMW had always known about this. they then insisted that it was in an accident, which was quite an insult. why would i not disclose this? insurance would have had record if there was anything mechanically repaired i would assume-i have not claimed one from my insurance! Is it my fault you have not kept these records/history?
They then suspended my motor plan. I fumed and complained and raised it with BMW SA. they lifted the suspension and i thought all was fine. this is now in April 2017.
I casually move on with my life as the service i got from Clearwater was great. Now, i go back to Clearwater to service my car on Tuesday, the 12th of Sept. My car is there all day, i receive a call around 3PM to inform me of the cost of the service, and i'm now obviously surprised at this news. They inform me my motor plan has been suspended and that i would need to foot the bill myself. I then raised it with BMW SA and to date i have not received my vehicle. They are again alleging, even after they sent someone out to inspect the vehicle, that this car was mechanically repaired. This is a major insult to even allege i would lie about this. I have since confirmed i don't mind that the inspection proceed, however, day in and day out, i have had to travel into work, be inconvenienced using Uber, mind you i don't have money, and tomorrow i am having to run an important occasion, can you imagine how frustrating this is. I am ready to leave the brand, in how mere paintwork can lead to such a costly exercise. I would like my motor plan lifted so that my car is serviced today and i can take delivery of my car so that i can run both my business and personal matters. It is my father's unveiling tomorrow for peace sakes. Why am i having to pay for an inspection (even though he managed to talk the panelbeater down), when BMW SA is insisting on this- Please refer to this mail trail. I am highly annoyed, incredibly inconvenienced and disgruntled. I have taken to twitter and all i got was they would look into it. I am so disappointed and will be walking away from the brand after this entire mess. I'm not sure how serious people realise the importance of customer service-nobody even explaine
Again, i really need my car in working condition today please. I'm tired of the run around and we are now moving in circles. Hoping that this can be amicably expedited- sorted out as a matter of urgency and i can get my serviced vehicle today; It's been 4 days too long, and one unpleasant experience. Not sure it's been worth losing a customer over.
