Bad decision and poor judgement from BMW
I've experienced a very bad and dragged out experience over 4 years. I was in the process of taking auric auto BMW Cape Town to court as I was advised by BMW continental cars Port Elizabeth . My case is still pending as I await a court date in the high court. So to detail the problem..... BMW pe says car was abused on a mileage 8000km, The car ran a bearing at 90 000km They claim the abusive driving of the first owner 5 years prior is the cause of the motor popping. After 4 years of the car being in storage I've decided to strip engine by a BMW specialist and rmi approved service center. Then send engine components to a very reputable engineering place that determined the engine had piped due to oil starvation.... so the oil pump packed up. At the time BMW continued to argue that the car ran a bearing due to abuse but also refused to strip engine to inspect the internal components of the engine. This report from BMW pe of abuse was sent to BMW SA and my motorplan claim was declined and car was red flagged. Because of the answer BMW had given me I've been chasing to persue a case to the previous dealer car was bought from and sold to the previous owner I bought the car from privately for the last 4 years . I've spent so much money on attorneys fees and installments as well as insurance and tracker for a period of four and a half years. Now the question is who takes the responsibility of making the wrong choice of judgement on my cars status at the time.
My car was under motorplan and was not checked by workshop to determine the correct diagnostic reason for that bearing that ran. I read on a few forums that all e92 m3 from 2007 to 2009 had bearing clearance issues and BMW never did a call back on my car to rectify that problem. Also how come after every service or renewal of motorplan the faults or over rev was not picked up. Poor poor service and judgement from BMW
