Avoid BMW Somerset West/Donford Helderberg

When I bought my car I ignored advice to avoid Donford/BMW Somerset West at all costs. 5 years later I finally understood why I was warned. Perhaps I should have taken the fact that it took 6 days, 3 emails, 1 facebook message and 1 phonecall to book a service as a sign to look somewhere else. Or the fact that they serve people with no regard for the sequence in which they arrive. Or the fact that a pre-service inspection wasn't performed. Either way, a simple brake fluid flush and rear brake disc service resulted in a broken front headlight (flooded with water and damaged light steering electronics) and no official explanation until pressed. They simply presented me with a quote for repair when collecting my car without even considering that they might be at fault. They eventually offered to look at the problem, but entrusting my car to a group of people that can't even get the basics right to remove a fender liner, bumper and headlight assembly would have been foolish on my part. Learn from my mistake - avoid Donford/BMW Somerset West at all costs.
