Bluenet.co.za - Customer Surprise?
Kirk D Director.
My wife had her application approved and a router package delivered to her this week, all done in less than 3 days. And to top it off the wi-fi service has technically been great!
But 2 or 3 days into the deal, and from out of the blue we should add, we have received an sms from bluenet warning us to expect some kind of ballooned first payment, without specifying the actual amount. To say that we are taken aback is an understatement.
Of course, the agreed monthly subscription could be increased by just R10 for that one first payment and that would be us making a mountain out of a molehill. But surely any extra costs should have been advertised as such? Or at the very least we should have been notified of these costs during the application process?
Is there any good reason that potential customers are not informed of these?
Honestly, if not for the surprise in this, you guys would be 5 star rated and fully recommended by us, to every single person that we know. Who knows, with the right kind of reaction or response, you might still get that from otherwise really satisfied customer?
Thanks for leaving us a message. Please can you be so kind as to email us your Wifes name and email address so we can track this order and who we are dealing with? We have no idea of tracing this from your message here on HP. Please email us at *** with the subject line "Hello Peter" We will be very happy to look into your questions and provide answers.
Thankyou very much.

We have found your account now.
There seems to be some confusion. We don't send out any sms's to clients with any of the information you have received. We always communicate via email so that we have a "paper trail" and clients receiving their package once we send it out are asked to let the applications department know so that we can email you the PDF set up and further details. On this mail we would have advised of the pro rata data that Telkom may charge depending on the time of month you receive the package. There is no extra charge and they will not charge you at the end of December, you would only be charged your pro rata December amount and the full amount of January at the end of January. We advise this so that when a client gets their first bill and it is the (December and January charge together) they are not surprised or confused.
I hope this clarifies things and you enjoy your LTE package.
