Unauthorised Blutech debit from my RCS account -pensioner,no consent, demand, full refund

*Title:* Unauthorised Blutech debit from my RCS account – pensioner, no consent, demand full refund

*Review (Blutech):* I am a 67-year-old pensioner. I have an RCS account that simply deducts my monthly Makro instalment; I do *not* receive statements and I do *not* have a smartphone — only an old phone for WhatsApp. I do *not* answer calls except from family because of ****s.

In *July 2025* Blutech began debiting my RCS account every month. I only discovered it when my instalment kept increasing. Makro checked and said I was “subscribed” to Blutech and gave me their number. I never subscribed. Blutech regularly sends SMSs asking me to click a link — I never clicked one and I do not take calls. My 9-year-old granddaughter sometimes uses the phone, and I lost the phone for several months, yet I never agreed to anything.

When I finally contacted Blutech, they admitted on their system that *no voucher was ever used* (what would I do with a dress/tech voucher at 67?), but they refused a refund. I did *not* request vouchers, I do *not* use them, and I gave *no consent* for these deductions.

This is an unauthorised charge on a pensioner’s account. I demand an *immediate full refund* of every debit taken since July 2025 and written confirmation that the “subscription” is cancelled.

There's no need to review I have emailed you numerous times only to get an email saying that there's no refund due to me . Common sense Wil tell you that at my age there is no need for this furthermore as stated by you the voucher has not been been used so please don't waste anymore if my time and refund what's rightfully mine.

*1 star – Blue Label Connect is taking people’s money .

I am writing this because I feel like Blue Label Connect is robbing people. I left a complaint with few months ago and left a compl in here a month ago but nothing has been done. still have not gotten back to me. No call, no email, no refund. Nothing.

They took my money and now I can’t get any support. Several months of waiting is unacceptable for a company that claims to help customers. I have sent multiple follow ups and been ignored every time.

DO NOT TRUST BLUE LABEL CONNECT ! Customer service does not exist h

Blutech – 3rd Complaint | Unauthorized Debits & Refund Issues | RCS Account*

This is my 3rd complaint regarding Blutech.

I pay a minimum RCS instalment of *R300 per month*. Blutech has been debiting my account R900 – R1000+ without authorization. This is not my agreed instalment amount.

After my previous HelloPeter complaint, Blutech emailed me stating they will “refund” me, but only by *crediting the money back into my RCS account* instead of my bank account.

This is unacceptable because:
1. My actual debit order with RCS is R300. Blutech took R900+ directly from my bank account – they should refund the excess back to the _same bank account_ they took it from.
2. Crediting my RCS account means the money stays in the system and goes back to them via future instalments. That is not a refund – I cannot access that money.
3. Taking over R300 when my instalment is R300, then refusing to return it to my bank account, is unfair business practice.

Blutech, you debited my bank account. Refund what you owe me *back into my bank account*, not as store/RCS credit.

I want this resolved immediately and confirmation that no further unauthorized debits will occur.

 Good day,

Please note that the VAS product, Dress Your Tech, is billed at R299 monthly and is charged to your RCS account each month.

In our attempt to contact you twice this morning, we were unfortunately unable to reach you as your line went to voicemail.

We take all customer concerns seriously and would like to clarify the below:

Blu Label Connect does not debit customer bank accounts directly. All billing for value-added services (VAS) is processed via the customer’s RCS account. For this reason, any applicable refunds are processed back into the same RCS account where the billing originated.

The refund provided was app**** to your RCS account as this is the billing platform linked to the service. Refunds cannot be processed to a bank account where no direct debit was initiated by Blu Label Connect.

A credit to your RCS account reduces your outstanding balance and ensures you are not charged again for the same service. This is the standard and correct refund process for VAS products billed through RCS.

If there are debits reflecting on your bank account exceeding your agreed instalment, these would be related to your RCS account repayment arrangement and not initiated by Blu Label Connect. We recommend engaging RCS directly for further clarification on debit order amounts.

We trust this clarifies the matter. Should you require further assistance regarding the service itself, please feel free to contact us directly.

Regards,
Tshepang

Blutech Customer Support,

I refer to your email dated [insert date] regarding my complaint and your proposal to “credit” the amount back to my RCS account.

For the record:

1. My agreed RCS instalment is *R299 per month*. I did not authorize Blutech to add any subscription fee to my RCS facility.
2. Due to your “Dress You Tech” subscription added via SMS, RCS has debited my bank account amounts of *R900 per month. I want my full re und from when you started debiting me through RSC till I found out about it. your unauthorized subscription fee.
3. Your subscription and the resultant excess debit have nothing to do with my contractual agreement with RCS. You unilaterally increased the amount RCS debits from my bank account.

Crediting my RCS account is not a refund. That money remains in the RCS system and effectively returns to Blutech via future instalments. The excess funds were taken directly from *my bank account*, and therefore must be returned directly to *my bank account*.

*I formally demand the following:*
1. Immediate reversal of all unauthorized amounts debited above R299 per month, refunded directly into the bank account from which they were taken.
2. Written confirmation within *5 business days* that my details have been removed from your subscription service and that no further debits will occur.
3. Proof of refund via EFT to my bank account.

This matter has been ongoing and this is my fourth or fifth formal complaint. Should you fail to resolve this within 5 business days from the date of this email, I will escalate the matter to the *National Consumer Commission, the Ombudsman for Banking Services, and HelloPeter* with all supporting documentation, including bank statements and your correspondence.

i did receive an email yesterday Tshepang about the refund going back into my account but I see it was false.

Blutech – Complaint | Refund Lies | ****** From My Bank Account | Still No Resolution*

This is my 6th review because Blutech refuses to resolve this. My RCS instalment is *R300 per month*. I never subscribed to Blutech’s “Dress You Tech”. You added this fee via SMS without my consent. Because of YOU, RCS debited extra from my bank account every month.
Your lies*: Blutech emailed me saying a refund would be sent to my *bank account*. Days later, another email saying it will _only be credited to RCS_. That is NOT a refund. You took cash from my BANK. Crediting RCS keeps my money trapped in your system.
3. *This has gone on for months* while I’m grieving the loss of my mum. I don’t have time to chase you for my own money that you took *******ly.

I did not subscribe to this useless service. It does not benefit me. You stole from me.

*FINAL DEMAND: Refund every cent you owe me back into my BANK ACCOUNT within 48 hours. No RCS credit. No excuses.*

If I do not receive proof of EFT to my bank account in 48 hours, I will post a new review here every single day and expose Blutech on Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, and report you to the National Consumer Commission, NCR, and the Banking Ombudsman with all your emails and bank statements.

Stop playing games with my money. Pay me I have been emailing ,phoning for far to long now . This needs to STOP.
