So when has it become acceptable for companies to take out contracts without the consumers consent or knowledge. Changing my sim card from a pre-paid to a contract sim, blocking all of my info form my provider, Vodacom, and taking control of my number like that. I have been trying non stop for the past 6 days to get in touch and cancel this contract, which I did not want or do not have any knowledge about. What is the point of RICA and all the other security measures if this is even possible. It is *****, and Vodacom don't seem to care, as I am not the only customer whom this has happened to. My advise from them is to go to RMCS's offices in Sandton, I have already spend R150 calling them, now I have to drive from Krugersdorp to Sandton to confront them in person, for a contract that I did not take out, or did not know about. This is the Edgars cellular division apparently. Edgards are also not being very helpfull, what is a person to do then??????
