Contract without consent

I received a call from what I thought was an Edgars agent last year that offered me a pre-paid airtime special through my Edgars account where I would receive airtime at a discounted amount for 6 months (which was never cancelled after the 6th month) Recently my phone got ****** and I needed to do a SIM swop. I was told by my service provider that my number was converted to a contract number and that I will not be able to do anything as my number was listed under another company!?

After enquiring from Edgars I was told that they cannot assist as this is handled by a third party, RMCS and that I will have to contact them during normal office hours. Thus I was not able to block my SIM when it got ******!

These are my complaints:
I was not informed at all of this when I agreed to an airtime special and not a cell phone contract.
I was not informed that RMCS will be my contact, nor was I given contact details of the call centre or even informed that the call centre does not operate 24/7.
I have been struggling for a week to get the call centre to change my number to a prepaid number, due to them contacting me on my ****** number.
This is completely unacceptable.
