Cancellation of the Contract

Good day.

I would like to log a formal complaint with the following company RMCS..

I went to an MTN store to take out a new contract for myself, hoping that it would be an easy transaction but to my surprise I was told that one of my numbers I wanted to port is on "contract" with the following company RMCS.

To add on that, I have never had a contract with the mentioned company and request that my number to be released ASAP, as this is my business number that I want to still use and take it to MTN.

I called the company and was told my number can only be converged to prepaid in 6 working days. At what point did I sign a contract? I demand proof that I signed a contract with them?
