Bad review about Blu Label Connect

Dear Sir/Madam

I hope this find you well and in good spirit. Doreen Zingiswa Arens is my name ID no ***.

I had/have a contract with Blu Label Connect. April this year my phone fell out of my Apron and unfortunately drowned in water while I was busy peeling veges in Church.

I called them and did let them know about the incident. They advised that I send the phone back to the, so I did that. Courier was sent by them to come collect the phone. The phone was collected around May, I am not quite sure about the date.

Blu Label Connect then contacted me informing me that I needed to pay R920 in order for my phone to be repaired. I tried negotiating with them that I pay the R920 in two months installment, they told me they do not to that kind of payment method. Therefore an amount should be paid in full one.

Few weeks later, I contacted them enquiring about the phone. The response I got was that they have sold my phone because 21 days have passed. I questioned if whether I will be paying for a cellphone that is sold. I was given an option/offer of R840 and R1400.

After all this process, I then remembered that I have an insurance for this cellphone. I contacted my insurance by July and indeed the insurance assured that they will pay out.

Insurance requested a proof of purchase which I did request from Blu Label Connect, I did make calls several times requesting the proof of purchase from them. They took very long to send the proof of purchase and unfortunately when I called the insurance I was then told my claim expired therefore they will not be able to assist me. Blu Label eventually sent the proof of purchase however it was too late.

I asked them if the first offer/option to pay the R840 is still valid? And that they should send me their bank details. I never got a straight response since September I kept calling. I did call them on the 15 October as well.

I then decided that I stop them from debiting from my account. Because it doesn't make sense how can I pay for a cellphone that it's not with me? Even the Sim card it is in that damaged cellphone that they took. I kindly ask you to intervene in this matter.

I hope to hear from you soon. Feel free to contact me.

Best regards Doreen Zingiswa Arens ***
