24 month contract **********ly opened on account
On Monday 29th February 2016 during a visit to a local Vodacom outlet to perform an upgrade I was informed that an contract was already made active on my account - details as follow: RMCS and account holder contact information [Email Removed] which means I also never received my account to verify the changes that was performed. (The number was prepaid at the time).

I immediately contacted (1) Edcon Cell phone services ***) as well as RMCS *** and obtaining various reference numbers (indication that the two companies has a joined incident logging system (*** - Edcon; and ***; *** - RMCS).

With each daily follow-up assurance are provided that the 'network agent' will call back to finalise the cancellation/ refund. In both instances I've requested the individual company ***** hotline information but as yet is still to receive. My question remains, is it this easy to open an contract on an existing numbers without any approval process, change the account holders details - where is all the compliance processes (i.e. RICA, signed acceptance etc.) that needs to be followed for blatant ***** being performed on accounts.
