Poor legal knowledge

Due to loss of work and not able to continue paying my Cell C contract, the contract was cancelled and outstanding amount was sent to Blake & Associates to collect.

At the end of November they contacted me to set up a debit order to collect the funds outstanding. I have no problem with them trying to collect the money owed, but I do have a problem with their lack of respect for the agreement entered into.

The agreement was for the debit order to be run on the 27th of each month. This afternoon I received a message from them that the debit order is set to monitor my account from the 20th of December, since most people receive their salaries earlier in December. This is contrary to the agreement/contract agreed upon.

When I phoned their contact center they indicated that the debit order cannot be cancelled as it is already capture by the bank.
