Harrassment and no service

I have been dealing with Blake and Associates for a few months now. Despite the fact that I always pay the agreed amount on time, I constantly get harrassed about "settlement" offers, or the fact that "your account is in arrears, pay now." I receive emails and sms's from them at least two to three times a week.

Their call centre agents are clearly ************. I had one woman tell me flat out lie to me about the amount I had paid. She obviously did this as a way of tricking me into agreeing to pay more. It worked but it just goes to show how ************ they are.

The final straw, however, is the constant phone harrasment. According to them, they must phone once a month to reach a payment arrangement. And it doesn't matter if you call in - they still phone. Apparently they don't bother to check the comments before calling you.

I have had enough. I asked to speak to someone with more seniority and was put on hold - obviously the hope was that I'd ring off. I did and called back with the same request. Same result except this time I got a call back from Indrani from the Durban office apologizing for the inconvenience.

She was really nice to deal with. She assured me that she would make a note on the system of the special arrangement on the system. She advised me on taking up a settlement option - something I am not in a position to do at the moment. I felt calmed and that the matter was sorted.

Only to receive a call in the next half an hour to ask what my payment arrangement this month would be. When would I be paying. I said to the guy on the phone that I had spoken to Indrani and he claimed that no special arrangement had been put in place and demanded to know when I would pay.

Now, not only had I spoken to Indrani about the exact same matter, I had spoken to someone yesterday as well so needless to say I am being harrassed.

I'm thinking that this is probably a money-making racket on their part - no doubt they charge for every call and SMS. I have requested a full statement but, now an hour later, have still received nothing.

So what are they trying to hide? I am fairly sure that if I ever do get the statement that I am legally entitled to there will be numerous charges for phone calls and sms's, etc.

It is completely disgusting that I am expected to pay for such ineptitude. And then they still have the nerve to want my home and work phone numbers as well!!!!!! As if I am going to open another avenue of harrassment.

Reviewer Update

Well, I must say that the Blake and Associates Durban office is certainly a lot more jacked up than their call centre. I was called almost immediately after I left my first review and the situation has been explained to me very nicely. The statements are not something that they can just access immediately and I am happy with their explanation of the calls as well.

Got to say, the service from the Durban office is the reason that I am converting this reply. Both Mohammed and Indrani a credit to the organization.
