CUSTOMER IS LIABLE FOR AGENTS MESS UP.
A consultant called me on the 10th of October and informed me that I have a outstanding balance of R2500.20. I've misunderstood the agent and thought that outstanding balance is R2300. I've set up the necessary payment arrangements.
I've been requesting a paid up letter since December 2018, with no-one seems to help me.
I got a call from your call centre from another agent, who advised me that there's still a fee of R1066 outstanding on my account. I've asked the consultant to explain to me, how this is possible. According to her, FNB keeps adding monthly charges to my account even after the account was handed over, ( to which I was unaware). I then told the agent, but the consultant who contacted me in the first place never informed me off this.
I told the consultant how can I be laible for those charges if the agent never informed me. I would understand that i misunderstood the R270 difference between R2520 and R2250. I was willing to pay the amount of R270, but to tell me that I still owe R1066 is just absurd!.
I still phone in this morning to set up a debit order to settle my fnb sort term loan that I had.
I think i need to stop paying all together and cancel all payments and debit, if this is how i'm going to be cheated.
I trust that you are well.
We have investigated and found that the balance was requested by yourself and not a settlement amount or payment plan. Hence the monthly charges was not discussed with you.
As per our recent discussions with our FNB client, please note that they have notified us that a signed agreement of the terms and conditions of your cheque account has been emailed to you for your perusal. With this being said, the balance of R 1066.00 is still payable on your account.
Should you require further information regarding the charges and fees, you may log onto www.fnb.co.za for a copy of FNB’s pricing guide.
Kind Regards

As per telephonic discussion, please note that a debit order will be successfully loaded on your account to go off on the 25th February 2019 for the full and final settlement.
A paid up letter will be issued once FNB allocates the payment.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you
