Credit beaure update

Good morning,

Thank you for your response.

I need to make it clear that I am not requesting another generic acknowledgement advising me that a consultant will contact me. I have been receiving the same type of response through my emails and WhatsApp correspondence, without any proper resolution.

For clarity, my account was handed over by **Atlas Finance to Blakes**, and Blakes contacted me regarding the outstanding balance on the account. During that engagement, I was provided with the outstanding amount, based on which I made payments in **July and August**.

It was only after I requested a **payment/settlement letter** that I was informed that there was allegedly additional overdue interest outstanding. This interest was **never communicated to me when the outstanding amount was provided to me and when I made the payments**.

Since then, I have repeatedly attempted to resolve this matter through both email and WhatsApp. Instead of receiving a proper explanation, I continue to receive system-generated responses stating that someone will contact me or that I should contact Atlas Finance head office.

When I contact Atlas Finance, I am referred back to Blakes because the account was handed over to them. I am therefore being sent **back and forth between Atlas Finance and Blakes**, with neither party taking responsibility for resolving the matter.

This is unacceptable.

I require a proper written response addressing the following:

1. **The exact amount of interest allegedly outstanding**, including the period for which it was charged. 2. A **full breakdown of the account**, showing the balance before my July and August payments, how each payment was allocated, and the current outstanding balance. 3. The contractual basis for the additional interest being charged. 4. An explanation as to **why this interest was not disclosed when I was provided with the outstanding amount and made the payments**. 5. Confirmation of when my account will be updated with the relevant **credit bureaus**, given that payment has already been made. 6. The **payment/settlement letter** I originally requested. 7. A copy of the relevant **call recordings and/or transcripts from March 2026 to date**, particularly the calls relating to the outstanding balance, payment arrangements and amounts communicated to me.

I have been cooperative and have made payments based on the information provided to me. I should not now be expected to accept an additional amount that was never properly communicated or explained.

Please escalate this matter to **senior management** at both Atlas Finance and Blakes. I require a substantive response from someone who has reviewed the account and the relevant call records, rather than another automated response advising me that someone will contact me.

I have already escalated the matter to the **Ombudsman**, and I am awaiting their response within the applicable turnaround time. I will also provide them with the correspondence showing the repeated referrals between Atlas Finance and Blakes and the lack of a substantive resolution.

Please treat this as a **formal complaint and urgent escalation**.

Kind regards, Lerato
