Blake & Associates Harassing Without Proving To Me Why

I keep receiving calls from this company asking me to confirm my ID number. Each time I ask them to first advise on behalf of whom they are calling, they say they cannot do it without me confirming my details. Ok.... So lets analyse this:THEY are calling ME. Why should I confirm MY personal information? THEY should prove who THEY are. If THEY are not willing to disclose on behalf of whom THEY are calling, why should I confirm ANY personal information? This is bogus! I don't even have accounts. I had an account in 2014 and when I was retrenched, the policy covered all outstanding amounts. The account was closed by them after this. So all accounts were closed more than 4 years ago, thus prescription applies as well. So if I do not have accounts, why would I share ANY personal information?

POPI only comes into effect 1 April 2020. Try again.

See, we, the public are not idiots.

You are hereby advised, that should you not disclose the so called creditor to me before 1 April 2020 and there after claim confidentiality as per the POPI Act when contacting me, this claim will lapse.

Furthermore to the above, I claim prescription as I haven't had an account in more than 3 years and no one has ever contacted me regarding any outstanding funds.
