Blake and Associates... True money hungry SHARKS

i was retrenched early 2018 and whilst still in shock, i immediately informed my bankers with supporting documents and went through the motions. After a month i was contacted by Blake and Associates claiming they had to trace me... when all my details was given to them. They would call me up to 5-6 times a day 7days a week. Now that is trying a saint's patience. Some days they would let the phone ring and drop the call and always showing private no but i knew it was them they had such a predictable m.o. Making all kinds of claims and demands, I diligently always took their calls listened to their scripted conversation and kept explaining that i am still unable to find employment. This went on up until Friday gone past. I have made substantial payment two weeks ago (01/02/2019) . For the 1st time, i know, but at least i am making an effort and in the process deprive my family of much needed basic needs. When Leonie Odayan called and demanded another payment i reminder her all their calls are recorded and as i explain on the day prior to making my payment, that i am by no means to commit to regular payments nor a payment structure. Its like they completely deaf she kept insisting on another payment. I asked her for a settlement discount on this account. As we all know the banks have insurance on bad debts and they do recover their money, then sell their bad debts to debt collectors who go after consumers like a pack of hound dogs. My situation was not by choice my family and i are suffering beyond belief. I am a single parent who has lost my job, have a family to provide for and still try and keep my obligation to FNB. I was promised a response the following day which by now was 5th of Feb 2019. I received feedback only after i called their office. I was told i do not qualify for a discount. On what merit is this determined... I made a payment which shows commitment yet i do not qualify. ****** hell im shocked and totally ****ed off. The people have no regard for humans God forbid it ever happens to them. I was told i can call Mmaphuthi on ********** apparently at FNB. First of all FNB never direct you in such a manner. They might be worst bankers EVER but they do pride themselves on their signatures so i do not believe this contact is bank employee but in fact another call centre agent at Blake and Associates. I have logged a complaint with Obudsman for banking services and look forward to their response. In the interim Blake and Associates will not get another cent from me. These scrupulous people should be exposed. The new Bill on outstanding debt allows me to have my debts written off completely. However i have a suspicion these debt collectors will not remove the mark from our names. All i wanted was a discounted settlement amount on my outstanding balance. Consumers should all stand up for our rights and not just roll over and play dead to the Blake and Associates of this world.
