Disappointing Experience with Blacktrotters

I recently booked the Premium Travel Package with Blacktrotters for Afronation, with my aunt traveling from Amsterdam and myself from Johannesburg. Unfortunately, the service was far below expectations, and I would strongly advise against booking with them, even if improvements are made in the future.

From the outset, communication was a major issue. I received my flight details only hours before departure, forcing me to scramble to prepare. Despite paying for a premium service, I was booked on Kenyan Airways, resulting in a long and exhausting journey. Meanwhile, other passengers on the same package were booked with better airlines.

Upon arrival in Lisbon, the situation worsened. We received last-minute updates regarding activities, and the catamaran cruise I had been looking forward to was unexpectedly canceled. Furthermore, despite the "premium" package promising convenience, we were told to arrange our own transport from the hotel in Algarve to the Afronation festival.

The most frustrating aspect was the return flight. My original flight with Kenyan Airways was scheduled for July 12 at 05:40, just hours after the Afronation concert ended, an unreasonable and poorly planned itinerary. After significant effort, I was rebooked on Air France for July 13, but the delay in communication only added to the stress of an already chaotic trip.

Overall, the experience was poorly organized, with inadequate communication and a significant lack of attention to detail. The service failed to meet the expectations set by a "premium" package, and as a result, I will not be booking with Blacktrotters again. I would advise others to carefully consider their options before choosing this agency.
