Good products at the right prices, but snail delivery
This online bike store has an odd business model - They advertise goods without holding physical stock - Thus, when you order they first have to source the items before your order is verified. This in itself is not a problem but in my case it took 3 days for them to simply verify they could get the product, and another 3 full weeks from payment to delivery - Lots of excuses and reasons......

13 Feb 2023, 08:15Good morning Dieter,
Firstly thank you for your review. Please be assured that we at Bike- Addict always appreciate our valued Customers Feedback – POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE and that we always keep it in mind as we strive to even better your customers experience with us J
I would hereby like to respond to your claim of “snails like delivery and pace “using the timeline on the mail thread between yourself and the said Sales consultant:
20th December: Client made first contact enquiring on stock availability and price.
The Sales consultant rep**** immediately informing the customer that we unfortunately don’t have the said products in store but that it will have to be ordered from the supplier. (Please keep in mind that this is a relative old part and it’s not kept as a in store product)
Please also take note that Stock is Subject to availability and that we work on a Quote base system as per our TERMS AND CONDITIONS. We do actually have one of the biggest stock holdings of all the stores in SA.
23rd January: On the 23rd you rep**** stating that the consultant must proceed with ordering the product from the supplier but also informed us that you will not pay for the product until it arrives in store – Kindly fami****ize yourself with our “Terms and Conditions” that clearly state that the Proof of Payments must be directly
send to the sales consultant that assisted you in order for him to go ahead and place the order with the relevant supplier.
24th January: The Sales consultant contacted you again following up and requesting you to send the Proof of Payment in order for him to place the order with the supplier.
On the 24th you did go ahead and made the payment but failed to forward the Proof thereof to the consultant ( In you’re mail tread you firstly assured us that you personally send through the payment but later changed it and stated that you did NOT send through the payment yourself and that it was done by your
Banking Institution. I can Personally assure you that no Proof of Payment was ever received from yourself or your Banking Institution (I will gladly attach the mail tread between yourself and the consultant)
The Practice of requesting that you send the “Proof of Payment” directly to the sales consultant is in place to speed up the process and limiting the time frame for delivering the goods to our customers. It also assist us in allocating received payments to the correct customer as we receive numerous payments
throughout the day.
29th January: Only on the 29th you made contact with the said consultant again whereby you followed up on the status of your order and delivery (That was a Sunday Afternoon)
30th January: The sales consultant then contacted you again informing you that he has still not received the payment as yet where after you forwarded the requested Proof of Payment to him.
He then went ahead and immediately order the products from the relevant suppliers.
Unfortunately and not the norm we waited 4 days for the product to arrive by us – We product was taken into stock late Friday the 3rd of February.
With it being Friday and the Courier services not including weekends as delivery days your parcel was send out on Monday the 6th.
6th February: Your Parcel was collected. (Cape Town)
8th February: The said parcel was attempted to be delivered to you but contact with you could not be established through a phone call as you reside in a Security complex ( By our own admission you received a call from a “Strange” number which turned out to be the courier company that you answered but hung up)
9th February: The same courier company “ REATTEMPTED” again without any success (Again they tried to contact you telephonically) Again they were unable to establish contact.
10th February: The courier company finally managed to established contact with you and arrangements for delivery was made. Please note a will gladly make these Waybill’s available on request)
Thank you again for your support and feedback.
