service department

I purchased a brand new 2023 VW Polo 1.0 tsi. The car was booked in at VW Umhlanga on the 18th August 2023 for a noise that was coming from the engine bay. When the car was booked in, they couldn't find the fault and only kept calling me and asking for the R350 windscreen repairs instead of focusing on the problem. I went back to the dealership the following week, and I took service tech on a test drive to show him the noise. He said it might be related to the gearbox. I spoke to Jeanine, who is the service advisor. She immediately, without checking, advised that there is no courtesy car. I mentioned I could even wait for a courtesy car. I booked my car in for the 13th of September, which was a 3 week notice. I had to keep following up with Jeanine weekly. This current Polo assists my wife / baby / mother and myself resulting in a request for a courtesy car,

I purchased a brand new car and I never expected a brand new car to have problems. I understand that it needs to be repaired, but the service from the service department at VW Umhlanga is pathetic. This is the worst VW dealership to deal with and I have been supporting VW for the last 15 years. The service manager James was copied all the emails but I received no feedback from him either, Jaenine's 1 line responses with no solutions or timelines seems to be an acceptable standard of service to him. This afternoon 12/09/2023 I was supposed to get an update about my car from James, until now no correspondence was received. Breaking down on the side of the road is not what I paid R330K for.
