Beware of VW and Bidvest

Please be aware of how the VW vehicle industry and that they are using rusty parts in their vehicles and when asked why is this, they say its STANDARD. Spoke to a person Thandi and she advises that this has come from their management that the part is rusty due to the heat coming from the turbo, however the car is brand new and when checked on all their vehicles on the floor at Bidvest McCarthy durban, all the vehicles has this rust in them. They dont advise customers before purchasing the vehicle of this and when asked if this is standard how come on other brand cars this is not the case, and the response was They cant comment. Poor service from VW as I had to keep calling them to follow up and they never returned my calls when they promised to do so. My first vehicle was purchased from Bidvest Mcarthy umhlanga and when i realised the vehicle has a defect of marks on the dashboard, the salesman gave me incorrect information saying it was from the new stickers and it will come it. after 3 attempts once by me and twice by them, the stains did not come out. as per the CPA which i was advised i was in my right to ask for new vehicle, repair or refund. I opted for the vehicle to be changed which the dealership refused to do so. they only wanted to refund or repair, although i didnt want that. eventually i took the refund option as they put me in a tough situation of a deadline to return the car and even so they refused to refund me my first instalment as they said i used the car. i was in a bigger jam as now i paid an instalment for a car which didnt belong to me. i was also left without a vehicle and ad to take uber to work and back for both myself and my wife which costed us over R3000 as i sold my previous car to purchase this one. bidvest Umhlanga was not helpful at all it trying to assist me and made my first experience of purchasing a vehicle a nightmare. they even **** to when i asked for my vehicle to be replaced and said that they have no stock, although i called their durban branch and they did have stock. this was the first time i noticed the rust in the vehicle and when i asked them about it they gave no response and just advised me to return the car which i did. i did log a claim with the ombudsmen but they werent helpful at all as sided with the dealership saying they did everything correctly and that i agreed to return the car after me clearly saying that i only did so because they refused to replace the car and i was paying for a car that could be refunded and i was going to lose on more than 1 instalment, about a month later i found another vehicle from Bidvest Parrow in cape town and purchased the vehicle and i did advise them of my whole story and they sold me a vehicle and when it arrived to durban the vehicle had some issue with scratches on it as well as ant rattle clips on breaks being loose the boot didnt close properly and the hand break needed adjusting and also had worse rust in it on the same part and the above response is what i received from VW. they could answer it themselves and had to check with the dealership of the reason for why there was rust in it. the company that make the cars had to call their franchise dealers to find out why the rust was there!!!!! overall i am not happy with the vehicle as this should be told to customers before purchasing it and not only if the customers notice it then give them this ******* excuse.
